After miscarriage • Stillbirth • Infant loss • TFMR

You shouldn’t have to Google your way through losing a baby.

Kindroot After Loss is building a more compassionate way for families to understand what comes next after pregnancy and infant loss — beginning in the first hours and continuing after discharge.

Early-stage platform currently being shaped with families and healthcare partners.

Start with where you are.

You don’t need to know exactly what you need yet.

I experienced a loss

Start with the next hour, the next decision, or the question you don’t know how to ask.

I’m supporting someone

Know what to say, what helps, and how to keep showing up after everyone else goes home.

I work with families

What we’re building

Support that doesn’t disappear when the hospital doors close.

Kindroot is being designed as one place families can return to when the next question, decision, or difficult day arrives.

First 72 Hours

Clear guidance for what needs attention now — and what can wait.

Doula Companion

A gentle companion families can ask questions and turn to for support — day or night, whenever words are hard to find.

Care Circle

Help loved ones coordinate meals, rides, childcare, errands, and practical support.

Resources That Fit

Support based on the kind of loss, timing, and resources available where a family lives.

Explore the Early Prototype

Early-stage prototype. Features and content are still being developed.

Help shape Kindroot

Lived experience should shape what comes next.

Kindroot After Loss is still being built. If you have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, TFMR, neonatal loss, infant loss, or another pregnancy loss, you can explore the early prototype and tell us what feels helpful, what is missing, and what you wish had been available when you needed support.

What would you be most interested in testing? (optional)

We will never ask for medical records, a diagnosis, or your loss story. Share only what feels comfortable.

For bereavement programs

The family goes home. Support shouldn’t end there.

Hospital teams do the immediate work of caring for families after a loss. Kindroot is being designed to help create continuity through the weeks that follow.

Structured follow-up

Consistent touchpoints instead of follow-up depending on who remembers.

Resources that fit

Support based on the kind of loss, timing, and resources actually available.

Care that carries forward

Each step connects to the one before it so families don’t have to keep starting over.

“I’m looking for one hospital to build this with, not to sell it to.”

Why Kindroot exists

Built from the work, not around a market.

Kindroot After Loss was created by Tamika Mapp, a community-based and bereavement doula in Tulsa who saw how often families were expected to figure out what came next after leaving the hospital.

Kindroot brings together lived experience, doula care, advocacy, and practical support to help create a gentler path forward.

Built from motherhood, loss, advocacy, and care.

You don’t need all the answers today.

Start with where you are.
